guesst: i’m non-binary. “perception” reminds me that i owe no responsibility to anybody to fit neatly into their perception of my gender. i exist to challenge colonial expectations of gender and being and to reconnect with the spectrum of knowing that my ancestors practiced.

Barren: 'perception' was heavily fueled by the constant overwhelming sense that I was losing myself in the last year. guesst, one of the very few artists I admire, unlocked my turmoil with their pure, unrefined passion🖤
