i left la with most of my belongings in my hatchback, and everything else in a storage unit. the last day of my lease we through a ridiculous party that got the cops called. i had known for a while that i needed to get out of my comfort zone, but it still felt crazy to have chosen to live nowhere. i only had plans as far as two weeks and new york city.
i spent a year living out of my car, on friends floors, and in airbnbs. i spent a year writing songs of minimal metaphor —- direct expositions of the lessons i was encountering. i spent a year across 16 different cities learning to love myself and writing songs as my journal. accepting my body, my trans-ness, my flaws. embodying my lessons, my confidence, my curiosity. with hyperpop as my muse, and @aries_ix as my messiah, i present my favorite body of work i've ever created.
